Privacy Policy

In this privacy policy we inform you, in accordance with Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which personal data we process when you visit our website or contact us. In short: our website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools, contains no forms and loads no fonts or scripts from third parties. Enquiries reach us by e-mail. This English version is a translation; in case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Sinox Polymers GmbH
Grünenweg 5-7
28195 Bremen
Germany
Phone: +49 178 817 51 68
E-mail: inquiries@sinox-polymers.com

Represented by the Managing Director Marvin Pfeiffer.

Data protection contact

Your contact for all questions about data protection and for exercising your rights is Marvin Pfeiffer, reachable at the address above or by e-mail at inquiries@sinox-polymers.com. We have not designated a data protection officer, as there is no legal obligation to do so (Art. 37 GDPR, § 38 of the German Federal Data Protection Act).

2. Hosting and delivery of the website

Our website is operated via Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare). Cloudflare delivers the pages through a global server network (content delivery network) and protects the website against attacks.

Each time you access our website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data that your browser transmits automatically: IP address, date and time of access, page or file requested, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. This data is required to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security. We do not analyse this data ourselves or combine it with other data.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, fast and reliable delivery of our website. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

3. No cookies, no analytics, no third-party content

Our website sets no cookies and stores no information on your device. We use no audience measurement tools, no advertising or tracking services and no social media plugins. Fonts, images, videos and datasheets are loaded exclusively from our own website. The only exception is the Green Web badge described in section 5.

Links to external services (e.g. LinkedIn) are plain links. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider once you click such a link; from then on, that provider's privacy policy applies.

4. Contact by e-mail or phone

Our website contains no contact forms; the buttons “Request a quote” and “Become a supplier” simply open your own e-mail program. If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process your details and your message, including any attachments, in order to handle your enquiry. E-mails are stored in our mailboxes (Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany) and in our internal enquiry system (database in Frankfurt am Main). Service providers support us in handling enquiries, including an e-mail delivery service and an AI service in the USA; the transfer to the USA is safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). All service providers process the data solely on our instructions (data processing pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling business enquiries promptly).

5. Green Web badge

In the footer of our website we display a badge from Stichting The Green Web Foundation, Netherlands, confirming that our website runs on green energy. The badge image is loaded directly from the Green Web Foundation's server (app.greenweb.org) when the page is displayed. In the process, your IP address and technical connection data (date and time, browser information, referring page) are transmitted to the Green Web Foundation.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing independent, up-to-date proof that our website is operated sustainably. The Green Web Foundation is based in the EU.

6. Job applications

If you apply to us by e-mail, we process your application documents to carry out the application procedure (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If no employment relationship results, we delete your documents no later than six months after the procedure has ended, unless you have consented to longer storage.

7. Recipients and storage period

Within our company, your data is only accessible to the people who need it to handle your request, and to the service providers named above acting as processors. We do not pass on data for advertising purposes and we never sell data.

We store enquiries and the related correspondence, including attachments, in our enquiry system and in our e-mail mailbox as business correspondence. We retain commercial and business correspondence and other tax-relevant documents for six or ten years in accordance with § 257 of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and § 147 of the German Fiscal Code (AO); the period begins at the end of the calendar year in which the correspondence took place. Once these periods have expired, we delete the data unless further retention is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights: access to the data we hold about you (Art. 15), rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

To exercise your rights, an informal message to the contact details in section 1 is sufficient.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit der Freien Hansestadt Bremen, Arndtstraße 1, 27570 Bremerhaven, Germany.

9. No automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. The AI service mentioned in section 4 only supports us in handling enquiries; decisions are always made by an employee.

10. Data security

Our website is delivered exclusively in encrypted form via HTTPS (TLS). We transmit e-mails in encrypted form (TLS) wherever the recipient's mail server supports it. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access.

11. Changes to this privacy policy

We update this privacy policy whenever our website, our processing operations or the legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
