What is PA66 recyclate?

PA66 recycled material is a reprocessed material obtained from pure polyamide 66 (nylon 66) – usually through the recycling of industrial production residues or scrap parts. Depending on how it is processed, the material is available as regranulate or as a customized compound and represents a sustainable alternative to virgin material.

Thanks to its excellent mechanical properties, high heat resistance, and good chemical resistance, PA66 recyclate is ideal for technical applications that require a reliable and cost-effective material.

Environmentally friendly materials

Features

PA66 (polyamide 66) is a high-performance engineering plastic characterized by high strength, rigidity, and thermal stability. This semi-crystalline thermoplastic has very good wear and abrasion resistance as well as high chemical and oil resistance.

PA66 also offers good dimensional stability, high heat resistance and, in reinforced form (e.g. with glass fibers), is ideal for load-bearing components in the automotive, electrical and mechanical engineering industries.

How are PA66 recyclates produced?

PA66 recyclate is produced by the mechanical recycling of single-type PA66 molded parts or industrial production residues. These are shredded in industrial mills, cleaned, and, if necessary, demetallized to obtain a high-quality starting material.

Depending on requirements, the material is then processed into regranulate or prepared into compounds using specific formulations. Careful pre-sorting and processing of the raw material is crucial for quality, resulting in a recyclable raw material that is ideal for technical applications.
