What is a PA66 compound?

A polyamide 66 recompound (PA66 compound) is an engineered recycled plastic obtained from processed polyamide 66. A targeted, multi-stage processing method – including melt filtration, homogenization and the addition of additives or reinforcing agents – produces a high-quality regranulate with technically sophisticated properties. The quality of the recompounds is designed to be comparable to virgin material in many cases.

PA66 compounds are characterized by their high strength, excellent heat resistance, and good chemical and mechanical resistance. How does PA66 compounding work?
