What is a PA6 compound?

A polyamide 6 recompound (PA6 recompound) is a high-quality recycled plastic obtained from pure polyamide 6. Targeted processing, such as melt filtration, homogenization, and the addition of reinforcing materials or additives, results in a technically high-performance material.

These recompounds offer mechanical properties that are comparable to virgin materials in many applications. PA6 compounds are used in particular in the automotive, electrical, and consumer goods industries because they offer high strength, toughness, and heat resistance.
